About the Programme

Given the problems with industrial agriculture, the need for transition to a new paradigm of sustainable and equitable food systems is clear. However, the ‘how’ requires systemic shifts in collective values, public policies, markets, and knowledge systems. This programme offers a critical thinking and doing toolkit for anyone interested in contributing to sustainable transition pathways, especially in food systems.

Benefits of the Programme

  • Develop analytical frameworks to engage with complex issues in food systems

  • Gather content knowledge regarding sustainable farming practices

  • Practical insights and mentorship support post-training in applying insights in real-life situations

  • Be part of a cohort with access to networks such as National Coalition for Natural Farming, Revitalising Rainfed Agriculture, APCNF, Kisan Swaraj, etc. that can help build state level coalitions and natural farming movements

  • Interested academics (researchers and students) have a unique opportunity to build a network on transition studies in India

What will you learn?

  • Building skillsets in systems thinking for managing organizations, including public systems

  • Creating a new generation of development professionals by rooting empathy, justice, collective wisdom, and climate grammar in all activities

  • Creating learning alliances for sustainable transitions

Who should attend?

  • Project co-ordinators and field facilitators of CSOs, NGOS engaged in food, nutrition, and farm-based projects
